1495 Renaissance Gown

This gown was made over the course of of about 14 hours, and involved over 10 yards of fabric (around 7 on the overdress, and 4 on the chemise). It was fun to make and went extremely smoothly. There are 36 eyelets on the back, and a few yards of trim on the sleeves and chemise neckline. The hair in the final photos was styled and done by me (and is my real hair). The design and pattern were also all my own.

There are four posts on this dress:

Making theΒ chemise

Making the bodice and skirt

Making the sleeves

The final photos
